Librenest is a retirement planner and card-benefit tracker for people moving between the US and China. These terms govern your use of the app and this site.

The short version. Librenest is an educational planning tool, not a tax, legal or investment adviser. Its estimates come from simplified rules and public reference figures, and can be wrong for your situation. Confirm anything that matters with a qualified cross-border CPA before acting on it. The paid subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your App Store settings. Your data lives on your device; see the Privacy Policy for the details.
Librenest is an educational planning tool. It is not a tax, legal or investment adviser, and nothing in the app, on this site, or in any document the app produces — including the CPA-ready export — is tax, legal or investment advice, or a substitute for it.
Every number the app produces is an estimate built from simplified rules and public reference figures: statutory brackets rather than your full return, representative yields rather than your exact funds, published city costs rather than your lease. These estimates can be wrong for your situation — because a rule changed, because your facts differ from the model, or because the simplification doesn't fit you. Confirm anything that matters with a qualified cross-border CPA, attorney, or financial professional before acting on it. Cross-border tax positions in particular — the US exit tax, China's six-year worldwide-tax rule, treaty elections, Roth conversions — are irreversible decisions that depend on facts the app does not ask for.
Benefit tracking — credits, free nights, companion fares, annual-fee math — reflects each issuer's published terms at the time the app's catalog was updated. Issuers change, replace and withdraw benefits without notice to us. A tracked benefit is a reminder, not a guarantee: whether a credit posts, a certificate is honored, or an idle card is closed is decided by your issuer under its current terms. Verify any benefit you intend to rely on with the issuer directly.
Your holdings, balances and retirement profile live on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. Because we hold no copy, we cannot recover your data if you erase it, lose the device, or uninstall the app — that is the design, not a limitation we can lift. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for confirming what the app reads from imported statements; the projections are only as good as the numbers behind them.
You agree not to misuse the app or this site — no scraping, no attempting to probe or disrupt the service, and no use that violates applicable law, including US or Chinese tax, securities or data-export rules.

The free tier works without an account or payment. Librenest+ is an optional auto-renewable yearly subscription that lifts connection limits and adds the full planning layer, offered as individual and family plans (Family Sharing applies to the family plan only). Where offered, an introductory price applies to the first year only; the subscription then renews at the standard price shown on the paywall at the time of purchase.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app and this site are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. HeyBrook Lab LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages — including lost benefits, tax liabilities, penalties, or investment losses — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app or its estimates. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50 if you paid nothing.
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do, and continued use after an update is acceptance of it. You can stop using the app at any time — Settings → Erase all data removes your data, and uninstalling removes the rest.
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which HeyBrook Lab LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state and federal courts of that state.
